Baptismal Certificate and Candle

When a person gets baptised, they receive all of God’s gifts – new life, forgiveness of sins and the Holy Spirit. They also get adopted into God’s family, the church. The baptismal certificate is like a certificate of adoption. It shows that this person will inherit all of God’s gifts. The candle that is given to the person is like a birthday candle – the person can light it as a reminder that they have been reborn. What symbols can you see on the candle?
