Our church uses colour symbolism in worship. You can see the colours change with the different church seasons.
The colour purple is used during times of getting ready for a big celebration. The time of getting ready for Easter is called Lent. It starts on Ash Wednesday. Lent is often a time when people give something up. Read more about it HERE.
