The prayer chapel is a small space, set off to the side of the chapel to give people a quiet, intimate space to pray and meditate.
It is a simple space, with the focus being on a large crucifix – a cross with Jesus on it, reminding us of his suffering a death. Kneelers allow prayers an opportunity to pray in the traditional posture of prayer. The prayer chapel itself is in the shape of a circle (a symbol of the oneness of God) which has three windows in it (a symbol of the Trinity). The circle design also allows whispered prayers to be easily heard.
