A crucifix is a cross that shows Jesus on it. It is a symbol that reminds us that he died for the sins of the world.

The Empty Cross

A cross always reminds us of Jesus. But unlike the crucifix (a cross that shows Jesus on it), the empty cross reminds us that Jesus is risen – he didn’t stay dead. So an empty cross symbolises the resurrection.
